A patch of Swiss Chard became a pleasant surprise to Theresa Mathur. She had planted it two years ago and the amazing result is this precious and rare bonsai tree.

Theresa is the type of gardener that truly loves her plants. So, when her husband insisted that she pull her swiss chard because he thought they looked like weeds, she insisted on saving at least one. However, we suspect, the one she saved was most likely a select few that had grown together, due to the closeness in proximity they were planted. That saved swiss chard turned into a magnificent specimen, through the love and care of Theresa. Now, it is an incredible little bonsai tree which she displayed at this year’s CLTTGC plant sale.
