Butterfly Garden News is an information sharing website created by two people, Andrea Anderson and David McKinley, who believe living in harmony and balance with nature is both good for nature and good for people. They also believe the knowledge and wisdom passed down from generation to generation is invaluable. The creators of Butterfly Garden News believe if we are to save our planet we must make a conscious effort to share the knowledge and wisdom of living in harmony and balance with nature not just for the good of future generations but for the good of all.
How can I become a member and contribute?
If you wish to become a contributing member which allows you to contribute articles, photographs and artwork all you need to start the registration process is to click on the button below and register as a contributor. Once registered, you are automatically made a contributor. Registering is important because it gives you special membership privileges like access to our Seed Saver’s Exchange and Newsletter. Registering also allows you to submit articles, photographs and artwork. (However, the site administrator must approve them before they are posted. Therefore, once your post is saved. an administrator will be alerted (usually, the following day) to approve it for publishing.)
We accept anything nature or natural living related. We also reserve the right to not accept a post, if we feel it is inappropriate for our website. Please remember, this website is here to share the knowledge of and wisdom of nature and natural living, it is a place of positive healing energy. We tend to choose positive problem solving posts rather than negative doom and gloom posts.
When posting as a contributor, please include your full name, if you wish to receive full credit for your post. You may also include links to your site and any contact info you would like posted along with your contribution. We cannot pay you but we want you to receive full credit for your work and we want to try to keep your work protected. So, if your work is copywritten or protected in some way, make sure to make that clear somewhere on on your post. We ask that you do not attempt to post copywritten material if it is not yours or you do not have permission to do so. If we find out that you did, we will delete your post and your membership. Please keep in mind that we are occasionally picked up by RSS feeds so your work and your name could potentially end up being all over the internet. If you are protective of your work and don’t want it posted elsewhere, this is probably not the best venue for you because we have no control over where it gets posted other than our site. However, if you need a little publicity, this is a great opportunity for you.
We are an informational site supported by membership. Any money received from members is put back into the site. We are not in it for the profit. We are in it to share useful information. So, if you find any information you can use, please feel free to link our site to yours or post an article of ours on your website with a backlink to our site. We don’t mind sharing, as long as you give our contributors credit by keeping the article together along with its contributor information (author name, any copyright symbol, any links). This is very important to us because our members are very important to us.
